The Danger of Empty Words

The crowds loudly cheered and welcomed Jesus.  The disciples were thrilled at the popularity Jesus was finally enjoying.  All their expectations were being met!

Then Jesus turned left.  He ignored the crowd, and allowed himself to be arrested.  The crowds cheered for His death.  The disciples all ran away.

What do we do when God doesn't act according to our expectations?

Christ calls us to follow Him, even when the way seems difficult - even when it seems impossible.  He promises to help us, so that we can be victorious, because of Him!

Faith

We are called by Christ to follow Him in faith.  This means trusting Him - trusting God's Word - even when it seems illogical to us - or when it makes us uncomfortable.
