An Evening in the Upper Room

On the Thursday evening before his crucifixion, Jesus celebrated the Jewish Passover with His disicples.  Yet, it wasn't the normal Passover, because Jesus was talking about His own death as our Lamb.  Andover Christian Church recreated and participated in this meal as the disicples did.  We were served traditional Jewish food and several of the disiciples visited with us and spoke of their thoughts and feelings. We enjoyed several varities of media and music.

1st Annual Rib Fest

September 13, 2008

In the wee hours of the day, there was fire and smoke....there were grills and ovens....there were men,  women and there were children.  But best of all there were RIBS

ACC held it's 1st Annual Rib Fest last September and it was such a great success that the guys want to make it an annual event!  Those of us who love ribs - no matter what method of "grilling" used - all agree that we can eat whatever they put in front of us!  Bring it on folks!

ACC Men's Softball Team

Season Opener 2009

The season is here...and thankfully it wasn't too cold for our players and spectators to come out and enjoy a softball game!   We lost our first game and it was a heart breaker for sure but the season has just begun and we've plenty of time to have a winning season!

Andover Christian Church

2009 Fall Festival

Andover Christian Church held it's 2009 Fall Festival on Saturday, September 26th. We had loads of activities for children, youth and adults with free ice cream and a wonderful meal compliments of our members, the Kingsmen, and most of our Rib Fest guys from last year.  A lot of food was necessary as we fed around 200 people that evening!   There were 28 pies submitted for a bake-off with the winner, Barb Smith who submitted an apple pie and runners up Peggy Conner submitting a pecan pie and Jeannine Miller submitting a lemon meringue pie.  Our silent auction raised around $470 for the local food shelf.  To cap off the evening we had a performance by blind illusionist "The Amazing Jeffo."  It was a great time of fun and fellowship.
