Community for everyone

We believe faith grows stronger in community so we have programing to help everyone learn, connect, and grow closer to Jesus.

  • We provide a safe environment for children to experience the love of Jesus, under the care of our vetted and trained volunteers. Check your child (kindergarten through fifth grade) in at our ACC Kids area where they will learn, sing songs, and make friends. Infants and toddlers can also join our staffed nursery.

  • Our student ministry challenges middle and high schoolers to deepen their faith while connecting with their peers. Student ministry includes small groups, events, trips, and more.

  • Find your people who will encourage you in your life and help you grow in your faith. We offer small groups, events, and classes to connect with others and enrich your life. Connect with our staff or view our calendar to see what's coming up.

what we Believe

Secondary Title

Andover Christian Church is a "non-denominational" or independent Church of Christ. This simply means that we are self-supporting and have our own leadership. Many of our members have joined us from various denominational backgrounds (Lutheran, Catholic, Evangelical Free, etc.). We have much in common and a few distinctive. Here are our core beliefs:

Jesus

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe His death paid for our sins and His resurrection proved that He conquered death. He returned God and is a constant advocate for His people. One day, He will return to earth to complete the work He began.

Salvation

All people are naturally self-serving and in rebellion against god and we bear the consequences. But God made a way to bring us back into his family. He offers salvation to those who accept God's grace through Jesus' sacrifice and follow Jesus' teaching.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired word of God and the supreme authority in all maters of faith and life. We believe the Bible is an essential tool for personal and corporate discipleship.

Communion

We practice communion, a small shared meal of bread and juice, every week during our worship services to commemorate the Last Supper and Jesus’s sacrifice (Mt 26:26-28) and also to keep accordance to scriptural expectations (1 Cor 11:26). Any who follow Jesus  are welcome to join in communion.

Baptism

Baptism is a meaningful step that symbolizes a personal commitment to follow Jesus. Jesus set an example of baptism as an outward sign of an inward decision to be a part of God's family.

Family

The family unit is an important part of God's design for human relationships and is a model for God and His Church. We view marriage as an institution established by God between and man and a woman. All believers, married, single, old and young, find belonging in God's family and bring valuable perspectives to the church.

Our Purpose

We want to be a healthy example of the Family of God...

The Church is a family: relationships, older, younger, rookies, veterans, extroverts, and introverts. There are challenges in being a family – and we willingly accept them. We do so because of how great it is to have real friends who really care.

...so we can help people become more like Jesus.

In healthy families people grow. They mature. Likewise, our priority is to help everyone mature spiritually. This happens by following Jesus, learning from Him, studying the Bible, and learning from other believers. This “Christlikeness” is our goal for everyone at ACC.

Then we can impact our community and the world.

Jesus came to earth to invite all God’s children to join His family. He did that by showing them God's love, dying for our sins, and defeating death through His resurrection. That mission which He began, is now ours to continue by serving and sharing with our friends and neighbors.

Jesus came to invite the whole world into his heavenly family too. We are committed to continuing that global Kingdom work through prayer and financial support of ministries abroad.
