Upcoming Events

Here are some of the upcoming events at Andover Christian Church.

After checking them out, if registration is required, you can GO TO iConnect where you can sign up.

  • Supper & study -- Wednesday nights

Join us each Wednesday night for supper & study.  Supper (reservations requested) begins at 5:45 for a minimal cost.  Studies, including adults, youth (begins at 6:00 PM), kids programs and nursery, begin at 6:30 PM and we wrap things up at 7:30 PM.  See our "Adults" page for class information.

  • Christmas program rehearsals

Think "Bethlehem meets Dragnet."  Joe Sabbath is called in to investigate a joyfully rowdy group of shepherds who are "disturbing the peace" with their stories of angels and a mysterious baby.  Our Christmas program is on it's way!  Rehearsals start Sunday, October 14 at 12:15 PM for "Arrest These Merry Gentlemen."  All kids, grades 1-12 are invited to participate.  It's not too late to join!

  • Pumpkin patch party -- oct. 27

Our 7th Annual Pumpkin Patch Party is right around the corner.  Invite your friends and neighbors to this fun event.  We'll be serving Walking Tacos, have lots of games, a hayride, Trunk or Treat, candy, popcorn and a bouncy house.  And it's all FREE!  Plan now to join us on Saturday, October 27 from 4:30 - 7:30 PM.

  • Family promise here -- oct. 28 - Nov. 4

We will be hosting Family Promise here at our building for a week beginning next Sunday, October 28.  We still have volunteer opportunities available and items that need to be donated.  Family Promise is our ministry to the homeless in Anoka County.  Click here to sign up for a need.

  • operation Christmas Child shoebox Campaign

Believe it or not, it's time to plan our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Campaign.  The boxes are here and will be available in our lobby this Sunday.  Filled boxes are due back here November 4-11.  Let's collect 175 boxes this year!

  • understanding addiction seminar - nov. 3

Many of us have friends, co-workers or family members who are struggling with some form of addiction. How do we help them? We can't control them or fix them - but what CAN we do? And what things should we avoid doing, that are not actually helpful?

Leland Owens, a former ACC member who saw his life destroyed by his own addiction, now works with men struggling with Substance Use Disorder on a full time basis and will be leading this workshop. Leland is a person in long term recovery.  He will be joined by co-presenter, Pam Lanhart, Director of Thrive Family Support.  Pam is an adult child of an alcoholic, a sibling of a family member in recovery and the parent of children who have struggled with both substance use and mental health disorders.  Click here to register.  This workshop is free of charge.
